My Current Project: Serial Husbands

I am now working on Serial Husbands, an adult suburban noir thriller. This book fills a clear gap in modern crime fiction by placing LGBTQIA+ characters in central, morally complex roles instead of limiting them to side positions or symbolic use.

The story takes place on Chestnut Street in Junction City, Kansas. Michael Denton and Ryan Hayes are viewed as the ideal couple in their neighborhood. Their yard is perfect. Their manners are warm. Their reputation is spotless. The truth behind their lives is very different. They operate secretly as a vigilante duo who eliminate child predators who evade the legal system. Each act is recorded in a hidden online archive known as The Ledger.

When fifteen year old Julia Harrison goes missing, the entire town begins a frantic search. Volunteers comb through fields. Detectives build timelines. Families wait for news. To Michael and Ryan, the intense distraction seems like the safest time to remove a dangerous offender they have been tracking. They complete their operation and believe they have done the right thing for their community. They do not realize Julia is still alive beneath the suspect’s trailer. Their intervention prevents her rescue and sets off a chain of consequences that unravel everything they have built.

The novel follows the fracturing of their confidence, the tightening of the investigation around them, and the larger forces linked to The Ledger. It explores guilt, secrecy, loyalty, and unintended harm through a tense and psychological lens.

2026 Plans

I am continuing revisions for Serial Husbands while outlining future entries in the series.

My goal is to build a body of work that spans genres but remains united through emotional depth, identity, chosen family, and the hidden truths that shape people’s lives. I write for readers who want character driven stories with tension, heart, and authenticity. I also write for my son and for others who deserve to see their families and identities reflected with care.
